Frequently Asked Questions
How do I play One More Night?
One More Night is a top-down zombie survival shooter. Play free in your browser at night.echoforge.games. No account or download required — just open the link and start surviving.
What platforms is it on?
Currently playable in any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop. A desktop release via Steam is in development. Mobile browser support is limited — the game is designed for keyboard and mouse.
Is it free to play?
The browser version at night.echoforge.games is free. The Steam version will be a one-time purchase with future paid expansions planned for major content additions.
Is One More Night coming to Steam?
Yes. One More Night is being prepared for Steam Early Access. The initial release will include the core survival mode, 5+ weapons, boss encounters, and the meta-upgrade system. Follow us on Discord for launch announcements.
What are the controls?
Movement: WASD to move, Shift to sprint.
Combat: Mouse to aim, left-click to shoot.
Weapons: Number keys (1–5) to switch weapons.
Interact: Space to interact with objects.
Shop: Tab to open the upgrade shop between waves.
How do waves work?
Enemies attack in waves, with each wave bringing more and tougher zombies. Between waves you get a brief intermission to visit the upgrade shop, heal, and reposition. Every 5th night is a boss fight. Surviving longer earns better rewards and higher scores.
What weapons are available?
You start with a basic pistol. As you progress you can unlock and equip additional weapons including shotguns, assault rifles, and special weapons. Each weapon has unique stats for damage, fire rate, range, and ammo capacity. Weapons can be upgraded between waves.
How do upgrades work?
Between waves, open the upgrade shop with Tab. Spend currency earned from kills to upgrade your weapons, buy ammo, increase your health, or unlock passive abilities. Some upgrades carry over between runs as part of the meta-progression system.
How do bosses work?
Every 5th night is a boss encounter. Bosses have multiple phases with unique attack patterns, minion spawns, and mechanics you need to learn. Defeating a boss guarantees Legendary-tier rewards and opens access to the next set of waves.
The game won't load
Try these steps: (1) Hard refresh your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R). (2) Clear your browser cache. (3) Try Chrome or Edge (best compatibility). (4) Make sure JavaScript is enabled and no extensions are blocking canvas rendering. (5) Check your internet connection — the game needs to download assets on first load.
It's running slowly
One More Night uses HTML5 Canvas for rendering. For best performance: (1) Close other browser tabs. (2) Use Chrome or Edge. (3) Make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser settings. (4) Reduce your browser zoom to 100%. (5) On lower-end machines, closing other applications can help free up GPU resources.
My progress was lost
The browser version stores progress in your browser's local storage. If you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or use incognito mode, your progress won't carry over. The upcoming Steam version will have persistent save files. For the browser version, avoid clearing site data for night.echoforge.games.
How do I report a bug?
You can: (1) Post in the EchoForge Discord #feedback-and-bugs channel. (2) Use the /bug command in Discord for a guided report. (3) Email [email protected]. Please include what happened, what you expected, and your browser/OS.
